Financial Accountant

This 6-12 month Financial Accountant role will work closely and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to assist in producing 100% accurate year end accounts. Based in Peterborough city centre with good public transport links they operate successfully within the public sector and government domain and have a culture of rewarding staff with great flexibility for reduced hours and working from home.

Description

The Financial Accountant they are looking for will work across a range of work areas but primary expectations include the below;

• Day to day support of the production of the Annual Report, audit and year end Accounts
• Fixed assets register maintenance and verification's
• Reconciliations
• Support for Audit processes both internal & external by gathering audit samples and working with the auditors when on site
• Working with Finance Business Partners to test robustness of management information.
• Provide financial support, advice or guidance across the work of the team as necessary

Profile

• Experience producing or assisting with year end financial accounts
• confident in presenting to Audtiors
• Good balance sheet and reconciliations expertise
• Excellent IT skills including accounting systems and Excel to include sumifs, pivot tables and vlookups
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with others
• Effective use of project management skills to deliver outcomes and meet strict deadlines
