This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading National Charity as the Finance Business Partner for Wales on a Part Time basis.
Client Details
My client is a national charity with offices and projects across the UK and Internationally.
Wales is a key region for the Charity and the Finance Business Partner will play a key role in assisting the Regional Director for Wales with strategic Finance decisions.
Description
The Finance Business Partner plays a pivotal role in the charity, working closely to the Director of Wales supporting them and their team, ensuring strong, robust, financial procedures, controls and management oversight is in place. Support will be provided to all areas of service provision.
Based out of either Newport or Cardiff, the FBP will support the Director in providing financial analysis and advice in a timely, user-friendly format that enables them to understand financial performance to date and implications for the future. You will advise the Director of potential risks and opportunities that arise in the Wales region.
You will challenge the Director to ensure they are maximising efficiencies and financial performance enabling them to deliver the financial elements of the strategy.
You will identify key trends and issues that may have an impact on financial performance ensuring budgets and business plans reflect the intended activities of the charity.
You will identify opportunities for income generation, improvements to promote efficient working practices and potential cost saving initiatives.
You will provide support to the Director in the creation of business plans and budgets.
There will be a requirement for some travel with this role throughout Wales where appropriate, however use of Skype and other forms of communication will aid in building strong relations with Managers and stakeholders across the Region.
Profile
The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Accountant to ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA or hold significant experience related to the role but not posess a CCAB qualification.
You will have excellent Management Accounting skills including, budgeting, forecasting, Business Planning and analytical skills.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to influence senior stakeholders in the Charity.
You will be able to travel between sites with occasional overnight stay aways.
Job Offer
A basic salary of £33,061 pro rata to £19830 for 21 hours
pension up to 12%
