Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join our new Treasury Team, providing an analytical support to the Head of Treasury and the Head of Shipping Finance.

Primary responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

  • Financial modelling in order to evaluate options across a broad area of corporate finance activities, such as arranging financing, balance sheet management, valuations, investments, financial risk management, market strategy and analysis (in particular yield curves).
  • Creation of presentation material for senior level decision making and for external audiences, such as banks and investors.
  • Preparation of the quarterly compliance certificates.
  • Taking a question/problem away and researching certain topics independently, then analysing and thinking through options, solutions and recommendations.
  • Investment evaluation, including building financial models and assessing value of potential financial or shipping investments.

More about You:

  • 1-4 years' work experience, either with a bank, fund management company or large corporate.
  • Strong academic performance with a degree in Finance, Maths, Economics or another analytical field.
  • Good knowledge of Economics, Accounting and Finance.
  • Ability and desire to learn.
  • Strong numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong financial modelling experience and Excel skills, e.g. balance sheet/P&L/cash-flow statement, discounted cash flow valuations.
  • Very good Excel skills, but also PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills, translating analysis into recommendations.
  • Solid work ethic.
  • Passion and interest in corporate finance.
  • Presentation skills including material creation.
  • Strong project, process and organizational skills; effectively able to handle multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
  • Familiarity with financial markets (e.g. FX, yield curves, investments) and what drives market prices would be a plus.
