The Tax Accountant will an integral part of the Finance community, playing a vital role in providing tax advice and support for a range of varied and interesting projects delivered by the Multinational retail business. This is a great role for a newly qualified accountant who would like to expand on or gain tax knowledge and understanding in a fast paced and growing business.

Description
The Tax Accountant responsibilities:
- Proactively drive projects and make informed decisions specifically around the following key areas;
- Review tax treatments established in the set up in the new stores in the EU & Australia
- Design a robust process which establishes a greater degree of control over US tax obligations
- Assist with the Groups transfer pricing document and filing
- Ensure consistent documentation of processes linked to projects to support training and aid the removal of key man dependencies.
- Work both independently researching tax issues and with advisory services to understand future changes and opportunities in relation to International Taxes
- Drive additional adhoc tax related projects
Profile
The Tax Accountant should:
- Hold a recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- A general understanding of tax compliance processes with knowledge of key risks and controls
- Delivery focused with the ability to "see the bigger picture" and ensure all key areas of projects of an excellent standard.
- Tax experience is not necessarily required, however an interest within tax and the motivation to explore this area of finance further is required
- Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively across the wider Accounting Centre.
- Ability to recognise and adapt to changing priorities, whilst remaining focused.
- Self-motivated - You are passionate, driven and display a high degree of self-motivation. You are able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Resilient - you take ownership, are able to operate effectively under pressure and respond positively to setbacks and changing circumstances.
- Influence - you are able to identify key stakeholders within the decision making process and communicate effectively to ensure your view is considered.
