Fund Accountant

The fund accountant is ultimately responsible for the valuations and accounting of the funds managed by the firm. This can be very broadly split into two distinct categories:

1) T+1 operations and reconciliations;

&

2) Find accounting and valuations.

Our client, is one of Europe's leading Hedge Fund Manager with over $39billion assets under management. The firm is based within the City of London and has offices in New York as well as Hong Kong.

Description

The candidate will have exposure to both categories therefor providing the opportunity to gain insight into a breadth of areas, including understanding the trade life cycle, valuations, accounting, tax, fund structuring, and regulatory requirements. The role involves working closely with internal teams and external counterparties. In addition, the team operates in an extremely high volume highly automated environment with a focus on technology and system data.
