Part of the new financial reporting team that sits centrally for this leading automotive business based in Basingstoke. The Assistant Management Accountant will be direct responsibility for an area of the business which ensures that the management accounting is completed for that business stream.

Description
Assistant Management Accountant Responsibilities:
- Completion of month end including posting of SAP journals, accruals and prepayments
- Preparing month reports with analysis and commentary on the financial results
- Consolidating forecast, budget and three-year plan submissions from the business
- Preparation of headcount costs information for actual /forecast / budget
- Balance sheet reconciliations and financial control
- Working with the wider finance teams to continually improve processes and automate reporting
- Cash flow reporting and work alongside the Treasury function to develop cash reporting processes.
- Contact for external auditors both at year end and interim
Profile
The successful Assistant Management Accountant:
- Experience gained in similar working environment
- Excellent Excel and Powerpoint skills
- Highly numerate with good communication skills, both verbal and written with strong report writing skills
- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
- Initiative to find solutions and improve ways of working
- Able to work unsupervised and outside defined scope of the role
- Commercially minded
- Self motivated, highly organised and methodical with attention to detail.
- Able to meet tight deadlines and deal with the prioritisation of conflicting requirements
