Description

Finance Analyst Responsibilities:

• Play a pivotal role in a wide range of activities including data & variance analysis, assisting with future projections and working with the business to understand financial performance.
• Business Partnering to the relevant department to communicate current financial performance and contribute towards the achievement of the financial budget through good data analysis.
• Highlighting risks & opportunities, support mitigation strategies and help with the preparation of the monthly rolling forecast.
• Support the preparation of the monthly management accounts which includes preparing monthly journals/accruals, updating department reports and in month variance analysis.
• Financial management of different business areas, such as the sales and manufacturing departments.
• Develop and enhance reporting and analysis to better understand the impact of changes in the different departments.
• Provide analysis on non-financial related data as required. Liaising with key stakeholders to interpret headcount and cost information as appropriate.
• Play a key role across the finance function in regards to continuous improvement
• Assist with projects across Finance as required by line management.

Profile

Finance Analyst Responsibilities:

• Studying towards final stages of ACCA/CIMA
• Excellent analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem solving
• Confidence to present finance issues to senior management and partners
• Drive and resilience with the desire to make a difference
• Initiate action to improve the service to the business
• Proven track record of continuous improvement
• Actively share experience and knowledge with others
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
