Finance Manager

The Finance Manager will be a highly motivated self-starter with supervisory skills, they will be a strong entrepreneurial partner to other departments, continuously improving processes, systems and procedures in order to manage a fast growing area of the Group.

Description

Critical to the Finance function, my client are looking for a Finance Manager to help them communicate the numbers to the wider business and beyond. It's not just your job to report on the numbers however, you will have free reign to add real value to the way we do things through additional responsibilities and ad hoc project work.

Your duties will be wide ranging, but ultimately you will be responsible for:

* Supporting and implementing the Group's global finance strategy, influencing leadership in the design, definition and planning of the finance strategy
* Performing month-end activities, including accruals, prepayments, commitments, and drafting journal entries, other month end procedures

* Operating effectively in a challenging work environment (organization, processes and procedures) with adherence to tight deadlines
* Implementing an effective internal control framework and ensure compliance
* Making recommendations to improve internal controls and develop procedures in support of changing business activities
* Initiating the standardization of processes and procedures and improvements where required
* Managing the financial reporting process including assistance in month end closing procedures
* Ensuring consistent analytics on validated transactional accounting data and a consistent and smooth hand over to Group Control and External Reporting.

The Finance Manager role will be highly relationship driven as my client are relationship focused people and our aim is to partner with the business to drive, promote and embrace important and impactful organisational growth.

Profile

What you'll need to be successful:-

* A professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with up to 5 years post-qualified experience within Management Accounting and/or Audit experience
* The ability to communicate with senior stakeholders across the business, to understand their needs and requirements in order to provide excellent customer service
* Experience of working collaboratively, across internal and external teams in multiple locations, to deliver improvements and best practice
* Knowledge and experience of SOX control frameworks and experience within a complex technology-driven environment would be an advantage
* The drive to be self-motivated, well organised and resilient - ideally with experience of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment!
