We are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to provide effective management of cash balances and cash flow.
You will be a highly motivated individual who is able to perform effectively under significant pressure, continuously working within tight deadlines, take responsibility for Treasury related issues and assist with the management of the endowment portfolio.
This is a challenging post which demands initiative and an innovative approach to ensure that you maximises its returns on all cash held and that endowments are accounted for correctly and used in line with their terms and conditions.
You will manage the day to day cash requirements whilst maximising investment returns.

Description
Your Key Responsibilities will include:
- Produce the financial accounts and monthly financial reports.
- Liaise with the organisations external counterparties.
- Monitor the cash flow (both in the short and medium term) to ensure that cash balances are sufficient to meet all liabilities.
- Identify key cash flows ensuring liaison with relevant stakeholders and make suggestions for process improvements.
- Assist the Financial Accountant with the development and automation of cash flow reporting.
- Invest funds (both sterling and currency)
- Compare rates to ensure that the money is moved around to ensure the maximum returns are achieved, whilst counterparty limits are adhered to.
- Liaise with bankers to ensure rates and charges are competitive.
- Identify new deposit opportunities.
- Build and maintain excellent working relationships with external fund managers
- Review monthly invoices to ensure they represent actual collection charges.
- Build and maintain relationships with the cash handler.
- Be a point of contact for departments for issues around the cash collection process.
- Regularly review the collections patterns and cash collection arrangements to ensure value for money is achieved.
Profile
The ideal candidate will:
- Be Qualified ACA/CIMA/CIPFA/ACCA
- Have experience of cashflow management
- Have experience of financial accounting
