The key responsibilities of the role include:
• Drive continuous improvement by creating metrics to measure data quality targets and conduct policy reviews to ensure procedures and metrics are effective
• Work with change programmes to coordinate and align business users and business analysts for defining data requirements
• Work with data architects to support development of the future state data landscape
• Support complex problem solving and drive informed business decision making
• Issue resolution and data remediation through root cause analysis, defining solutions and communication to business stakeholders
• Providing thought leadership in developing the future direction of data usage within the firm and staying abreast of the latest technologies and how they could be beneficial to Northern trust
Required skills:
• Experience in data analysis, data requirements and delivering data projects
• Expertise with managing and analysing data issues including data quality, data definitions and data sourcing/lineage
• Advanced analytical skills and ability to resolve detailed issues
• Experience with project management and SDLC methodologies - Waterfall and Agile
• Ideal candidate should have Investment or Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency or Custody business background and familiarity with one or more investment/fund accounting platforms
• Knowledge of Analytics and Reporting tools
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with business and technology teams to manage data deliverables and ensure their completeness and quality
