Description

As an Accounts Assistant based from the Farnham, Surrey office you will be responsible for:

Intercompany reconciliation and recharges

  • Raising monthly intercompany recharge invoices
  • Reconciliation of all intercompany account balances

Purchase Ledger

  • Check purchase invoice content, code, match to delivery note and purchase order and post to ledger
  • Acquiring authorisation of invoices from department managers
  • Reconciling supplier statements and obtaining copy invoices
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Preparation and processing of monthly supplier BACS payments
  • Check and process company credit card transactions and personal expense claims obtaining VAT receipts when necessary

Sales Ledger

  • Raising sales orders onto system
  • Converting sales orders to sales invoices
  • Raising manual invoices in excel and batch process onto system
  • Reconciliation of posted invoices to the sales log
  • Journal postings for internal sales
  • Dealing with customer queries
  • Liaising with the Credit Controller

Bank and Petty Cash

  • Posting bank receipts and payments onto system
  • Recording the receipt of customer cheques
  • Recording the receipt of credit card transactions
  • Posting petty cash receipts and payments
  • Bank statement reconciliation to accounts system

Month End

  • Assist Management Accountant and Group Management Accountant with preparation of UK
  • Group and Jersey VAT (GST) returns, management accounts, audit preparation and ad hoc duties as required

Profile

  • Experience covering the above responsibilities as closely as possible. However you don't have to have covered all of the responsibilities.
  • Strong Excel Skills are EssentialHighly numerateHighly organisedStrong time management skillsDue to location must be a driver

Job Offer

Salary £22k - £25k depending on experience. Study Support after probation but you don't need to be studying, 20 days holiday per year plus 8 bank holidays, Nest Auto-enrolment pension, free parking

Hours of work 9am to 5.30pm or 8.30am to 5.00pm, 30 minutes for lunch
