ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ASSISTANT

Master Mix of Trinidad, established in 1965, is a leading manufacturer of poultry and livestock feeds, servicing customers throughout Trinidad & Tobago. Master Mix is a subsidiary of Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM), headquartered in the USA. The Company is seeking to recruit a dynamic and goal-oriented individual for the post of ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ASSISTANT .  The position is located in Pt. Lisas, Trinidad, and reports to the local Financial Controller. The Role: Timely and accurate processing of transactions Liaises with other internal departments on queries on invoices, statements, purchase orders and authorization for payments Prepares vendor reconciliations periodically and liaises with vendors regarding queries Prepares and processes vendor payments via cheque or the online banking system and ensures that all payments are recorded accurately on all systems Maintains up to date accounting records and ensure that all documents are properly referenced and filed Other clerical matters, as assigned by the Manager Qualifications and Experience Five (5) “O” Level passes, including Math and English Three (3) years in similar position Pursuing ACCA or CAT (not mandatory but would be an asset) Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word The Candidate must have: Experience working with an accounting software. Experience with Oracle would be an asset The ability to multi-task, balance and prioritize job responsibilities High level of professional integrity and ownership of daily activities, working toward success and continuous improvement Positive attitude with a willingness to take on new tasks to meet the Company's objectives
