A leading specialist consultancy firm, with a global reach. This role is based from Knaresborough and is part time for 25 hours a week.
Description
The interim Finance Manager will provide exceptional finance support to the UK and European arms of the business. You will support the business's senior management team by preparing and interpreting the information and KPIs to maximise profitability and preparing financial results for the UK companies. As an important part of the team, you'll drive improvements and simplification in the finance processes as well as influencing the business to maximise returns. The role is based in Knaresborough and manages a team of two based there. Some travel will be required from time to time to other group offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and Review regular revenue and billable hours and other business reporting/KPIs & forecasting including advising the team on variances and corrective actions
- Prepare monthly management accounts to group deadlines, ensuring all financial information is accurate and consistent
- Prepare P&L forecasts with management as and when required
- Oversee the monthly intercompany reconciliations for the group companies
- Support and motivate the finance team to maximise data quality, ensure resilience and improve process where necessary
Profile
The part time Interim Finance Manager role requires a commercially minded Finance Professional, used to business partnering and providing value added information and support.
Experience Required
- CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
- Strong generalist accountant with business partnering expertise
- Commercial acumen and ability
- Team management
- Effective communicator, able to engage with consultants and the wider business
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks effectively
- Ready and able to exercise initiative
- Excellent organisational skills attention to detail
- Strong competency with Microsoft Excel.
Job Offer
Up to £50,000 plus benefits pro rata, or c£30/hr
Knaresborough base
25 hours a week, ideally 5 hours a day
6 month contract
