Finance Manager

Our client are looking for a Finance Manager to oversee the full finance function of a growing SME business in Hertfordshire. You will be the pivotal person on all things accounting and be an integral part of the businesses growth plans. The Finance Manager will be in constant interaction with various stakeholders within the company and provide accurate and informative financial data to support business decisions and changes.

Description

This role will sit within the UK office and be an integral part of the business moving forward, responsible for all financial accounting, invoicing and reporting activities. You will be striving for process improvements and maintaining all accounting policies are up to date.

The key responsibilities for this Finance Manager role will include:

Full responsibility of the business's management accountants

Cash flow planning and execution

Financial accounting (Invoicing, payable, receivables ledgers, fixed assets, banks and G/L)

Preparation of annual accounts

Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles

Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Contact person for tax authorities, auditor, group reporting and (local) banks

Profile

The successful Finance manager will be accountancy qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and have a proven track record of working in a Finance Manager capacity or similar. You will have thorough knowledge of accountancy procedures and a strong understanding of GAAP. You will have a keen eye for detail and pride yourself of our accuracy and work to tight deadlines.

This role requires someone with a flare for numbers and the ability to work with people from various backgrounds, advanced Excel skills including v-look ups and pivot tables would be ideal. You will have strong organisational skills and look at things in an analytical mindset.
