Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing company payroll for each Pay cycle

• Maintain payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating and inputting data

• Direct liaison with HR Dept to ensure accuracy of employee details and overtime etc

• Computes employee take-home pay based on time records, benefits and taxes and pension

• Communicate all relevant information with external bodies for Pension, HMRC and any Levy purposes

• Assisting staff with wage queries, deductions, attendance and time records

• Receive and coordinate requests for leave and other absences

• Handle changes in exemptions, job statue and job titles

• Adhere to payroll policies and procedures and comply with relevant law

• Identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records

• Honour confidentiality of employee pay records in line with GDPR

• Complete payroll and finance reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial review

• Determine organisations tax obligations by calculating national and council taxes as well as national insurance contributions

• Communicate relevant information to HR regarding actual employee figures.

• Assist the finance department with other ad hoc duties

Profile

Successful Candidate:

• Experience using Sage Line 50 Payroll or any similar accounting package

• Excellent written and verbal communication and organisation

• Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team

• Professional telephone manner
