The Financial Analyst role in Newbury is to Analyse financial data by collecting, monitoring and creating financial models for decision support. Improve financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management. Assist with annual and quarterly forecasting.

Our manufacturing and production client is based in Newbury is a global market and technology leader of innovative joining-technology products and are looking for a Financial Analyst.

Description

Financial AnalystResponsibilites;

  • Managing our fixed asset registers, forecasting and processing our all fixed assets
  • Completing monthly reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts
  • Reporting to our central corporate management weekly, monthly and quarterly on various information covering our balance sheet, profit and loss as well as adhoc reporting
  • Reporting to HMRC and ONS for National Statistic reports, Intrastat and EC Sales
  • Calculation of production bonus paid on an hourly basis for over 150 employees
  • Calculating accruals due to ensure accurate accounting records
  • Calculation and introduction of variable pay due on holiday pay for over 150 employees as per the new European Council directive
  • Managing the company insurance including Motor Fleet, Plant, Engineering and Employers Liability
  • Involvement in the creation of our annual accounts and working with internal and external auditors
  • Intercompany forecasting and reconciliations with colleagues from around the globe
  • Managing the successful implementation of an ERP add on (ExFlow) that moved purchase invoicing to a paperless method
  • Profile

    The successful Financial Analyst must have:

    • Excellent stakeholder management skills across both finance and non-finance functions at all levels
    • Strong analytical skills and commercial understanding.
    • Strong prioritisation skills able to manage conflicting requirements to tight deadlines and distinguish between the urgent and important
    • Experience of business partnering
    • Forecasting/budgeting experience
