Tax Analyst Dalata Hotel Group plc is recruiting for a Tax Analyst to join our Central Office team. As Tax Analyst, you will report to the Tax Manager and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to play an influential role in a young, ambitious and expanding plc. The role will involve participation in: Tax planning and compliance across all tax heads and multiple jurisdictions, principally Ireland and UK Liaising with people in Hotel Operations, Strategy and Development, Internal Audit, Treasury and Investor Relations to deliver cross functional projects as appropriate. Working closely with finance team to ensure proper accounting, budgeting and forecasting for tax in statutory and Group accounts reports Support Strategy and Development team to enhance their understanding of tax implications of potential transactions and advise accordingly Maintaining the tax calendar: be responsible for ensuring all tax deadlines are met in each location. Working with outside professional firms and internal finance team to ensure all tax returns are filed. Assisting with tax audits and respond to queries from tax authorities. Overseeing completion of all VAT and other indirect tax returns for all jurisdictions by tax trainee. Continuing improvement of internal tax processes. Researching and analysing technical standards/guidance as queries/issues arise in particular with evolving tax legislation and the different strategies for growth. The person should be a great fit within the existing team and continue developing the positive culture. Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Attitude Required for the Role : The Candidate: Will have Chartered Tax Advisor qualification, or similar, be Big 4 trained and qualified with excellent academics and exposure to listed entities or large corporates. Will possess excellent tax technical skills with the ability to understand and apply technical advice and advise non-tax specialists accordingly. Should be comfortable with reviewing documents such as board minutes, SPAs, financing agreements and other legal documents. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have demonstrated an ability to build relationships at all levels. Must be engaging, enthusiastic and confident with a natural focus on quality, accuracy and continuous improvement. Must be able to demonstrate their planning and organisation skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise work. Must be a strong team player who can support, challenge and influence colleagues at all levels. Must naturally want to develop and grow and assist others around them to do the same. Should have strong organisational and documentation skills, with attention to detail and with a proven ability to deliver to deadlines.
