The Role

BAE Systems has been in the business of defence for over 100 years, and we've been protecting nations from advanced threats for over 40 of those. We offer something unique in the security space: military grade financial crime defence for businesses. The nature of defending against financial crime threats is becoming more challenging and complex for our clients. Leveraging our marketing leading position in this space, along with significant Intellectual Property, we are offering new solutions to enable our clients to detect, investigate and manage financial crime and compliance in the most effective yet efficient means.

What you will be doing

The Account Development Executive candidate must meet or exceed orders and revenue goals and other non-financial target objectives. This individual should be familiar with the steps necessary to close deals and have demonstrated a sales ability to increase revenues by introducing complex concepts.

The candidate must also possess the ability to introduce and sell the business defence value proposition that BAE has: as a leading financial crime and compliance intelligence management solution, to the target market of new clients in the tier 1 and 2 enterprise financial services space. This individual should be able to develop, prioritize, and articulate an understanding of where and how BAE's offerings fit and add value to a client's environment.

The ideal candidate has experience dealing with new and emerging technology (including SaaS solutions), delivering a comprehensive solution to a new market, and selling financial crime solutions and services. This position requires flexibility for travel as needed, including overnight stays.

The candidate will have deep understanding of the Australia and New Zealand market.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor degree or international equivalent • Minimum of 10 years related experience in sales process, prospecting, forecasting, cold calling, closing business, and business planning • Significant Business to Business Technology Solution Sales experience, with financial crime solutions • Understanding of the regulatory compliance and fraud detection industry • Excellent presentation (live/phone/web) and communication skills with a talent for customer interaction at all levels • Strong sales skills, excellent reporting skills and proficient with computers • Professional communication skills to listen to clients and articulate back for solutions • "Make it Happen" mentality; ability to take initiative, multi-task, meet tight deadlines and succeed in a fluid, fast-paced environment • Successful candidate will be proactive, self-motivated and highly professional, with outstanding customer development and prospecting skills • Well-spoken in a variety of settings, persistent and a master at overcoming obstacles • Meet and exceed daily, monthly, quarterly Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) set by management • Successful and documented commissioned sales history • Able to work effectively with internal teams and partners to drive business • Strong networking and problem-solving skills.
