Page Personnel Finance are pleased to be partnering with a fantastic Charity based in Bristol, to appoint a Finance Assistant, to report in to the UK Finance Manager.

Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Financial processing of invoices, payments and receipts
  • Inputting supplier invoices, approving details on these invoice and processing weekly payment.
  • Banking of cheques received (on a shared rota basis)
  • Ensuring that BACs collection process for membership fees, course fees, student fees and other payments is processed in accordance with agreed timescales
  • Ensuring that returned BACs requests are processed to the customer database
  • Action refunds promptly
  • Reconciling purchase and sales ledgers
  • Ensuring that customer and supplier ledgers are up to date
  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations on the bank accounts to ensure all transactions are reconciled promptly and accurately. Along with supporting journals.
  • Monitoring the finance mailbox and ensuring that all queries are actioned promptly and relevant paperwork is filed

Profile

The succesful candidate:

  • Saleforce experience
  • Experience of working with and updating databases
  • Experience of working with BACs payments solution software
  • Experience of working in a finance role processing payments (Cheques, BACs, Chaps, Faster Payments) and maintaining financial records
  • Strong numeric skills and high level of accuracy with work
  • Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of work
  • Excellent problem solving ability coupled with strong organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise and deal effectively with a busy workload
  • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively using the appropriate communication medium to a variety of audiences
  • Strong MS Office Skills in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • AAT studier
