Under the direct supervision of the Head of internal oversight you will be expected to test and ensure the proper operation of the IT function of the business in compliance with Financial standards.

Description

• Test and ensure the programme integrity and sound functioning of the database developed by IOEO;

• Address any identified programming errors in good time;

• Ensure adequate protection and back-up of the data;

• Complete uploading of JIU activities data since 2012;

• Launch e-mail communications to the IMO management to follow up on JIU report recommendations pending implementation;

• Ensure the database contents are up-to-date and protected at all times;

• Manage all the inputs, processing, and outputs of the database including:

• JIU proposals communicated to IMO

• JIU annual programme of work

• Launched JIU projects

• Issued JIU reports

• JIU report recommendations issued to IMO

• Management response on JIU report recommendations

• Periodic reporting of the status of JIU report recommendations

• A core understanding of Microsoft Access
• Exposure to VBA and SQL
• A good understanding of other Microsoft office products
• A background in finance or audit environments
