Key Responsibilities:
Review of Transactions Across EMEA Region
• The analysis of the transactional behaviour of the Bank's clients
• Investigation of transactions using the Bank's transaction monitoring system, providing oversight and approval of London alerts.
• Oversight of all the EMEA branches with regards to the transaction monitoring
• Investigation of Sanctions AML referrals, customer monitoring cases and other event-driven reviews such as adverse media reviews, bribery and corruption, etc.
• Reporting suspicious transactions to Head Office and National Crime Agency via the SAR process
Procedures and Risk Assessment
• Review of AML procedures, ensuring they are up to date and compliant with the regulations, Global Standards and current market principles
• Providing feedback to other branches across EMEA on their AML procedures and ensuring they are compliant with their own country's regulations
• Providing training as an AML SME across the EMEA region
• Leading working groups within the team to enhance procedures and evaluate money laundering typologies.
• Conducting reviews of system indicators and scenarios for monitoring
Skills and Experience:
Functional / Technical Competencies:

• MS Office skills
• Demonstrates attention to detail
• Broad understanding of banking, financial crime risk (AML and Sanctions) in banking and a general understanding of the concepts of risk management and control
• Manages priorities effectively and delivers efficiently
• Proactively identifies and communicates improvements to process on the grounds of efficiency and effectiveness
Specific to role
• Strong analytical skills
• Good conceptual understanding of risk, compliance and controls
• Good understanding of banking products and the UK regulatory environment and broad knowledge of sanction regimes
Work Experience:
• Preferred - 3-5 years of relevant banking/compliance experience
• Preferred - relevant qualification
Education / Qualifications:
• Degree preferred
