Description

Interim Financial Consultant - Process Mapping and Improvement working for a government organisation based in York. You will use your finance and accountancy skills to deliver across a number of key areas including:

  • Quality-assuring data in relation to IR35 tax assurance
  • Resolving conflicts of data, providing a clear audit trail of actions
  • Liaising with contacts across the organisation
  • Producing internal and external reports
  • Providing advice to business areas around approvals on cost centre
  • Preparing mappings and reconciliations to move data from one system to another
  • Identifying problems and seeking solutions
  • Looking for continuous improvement in yourself and in the processes you work on

Profile

As Interim Financial Consultant - Process Mapping and Improvement you will need the following experience and skills:

  • Suitable level of experience working in a financial environment
  • Ideally experience of working within government (central, local or NHS)
  • Knowledge of creating, editing and maintaining spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel
  • Good IT skills which will allow you to grasp specific IT applications including Oracle, Excel and Word
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • A high degree of attention to detail

Job Offer

This role is within IR35 and so will be a rate of between £200 - 250 per day via an umbrella company or PAYE
