SVHM is one of Australia's leading Catholic not-for-profit healthcare providers. About the Department St Vincent's Security Department ensures the safety of patients and staff of the hospital. About the Role The Security Department of St. Vincent's Hospital Melbourne requires motivated and enthusiastic Security Officers to join their Team. You will be responsible for providing a safe and secure work environment for all Staff, Patients and Visitors attending St Vincent's Hospital. You will also be required to act as Emergency/Deputy Emergency Co-Ordinator in all emergency situations and work in a highly sophisticated Security Control Room, monitoring CCTV Cameras and Duress Alarms. You must hold a current security/crowd control licence (Level-2) inclusive of Control Room Operator licence have exceptional communication and conflict management skills, a demonstrated ability to achieve successful outcomes through high level problem solving and decision making. Applicants must be available to work a 12 hour shift and also be available to work weekends, public holidays, etc. Duties Ensure all incidents are investigated and followed Keep databases up to date (VHIMS Risk-Man) Manage and maintain the sites environmental security using advanced access control/CCTV systems Maintain a safe and secure and environment by patrolling and monitoring activities in the hospital Respond immediately to calls of assistance and Emergency codes Qualifications, Skills and Experience VCE or equivalent Current security/crowd control licence (Level-2) inclusive of Control Room Operator.
