Reporting to the Technology Operations Manager, the Technology Deployment Manager is a dedicated site based resource responsible to oversee the ongoing performance, growth and value delivery of MineStar products across Rio Tinto Iron Ore operations. In addition the role is responsible for the provision of high level technical support, project management and performance improvement services to the Customer in support of the Autonomous haulage fleet. Roster 8 days on 6 days off.

Supported by WesTrac Support and Operations teams, the primary function of this role is to work in the capacity of a specialist to assist the customer to safely maintain a high level of availability, reliability and productivity from the Customer's MineStar equipped fleet, including Command for Haul and Terrain enabled machines. This will be achieved through effective on-site project management of the AHS growth program, including safety outcomes, agreement obligations, SSP - RBT conversions, Terrain performance across RTIO operations and new product introductions (e.g. DSS)
The role will monitor overall reliability of technology across RTIO, AHS performance, continuous improvement initiatives, customer satisfaction and management of all on-site WesTrac personnel to ensure the effective and efficient operation of all WesTrac areas of responsibility.
Essential Criteria:

Minimum 5 years post qualification experience or trade certificate coupled with a minimum of 10 years' post trade experience working [WPL1]
Minimum 3 years' experience in a customer relationship management role [WPL2]
Minimum 2 years' supervisory experience with proven people management skills and the ability to [WPL3] inspire and motivate teams of multiple functions and manage large scale projects
Demonstrated leadership abilities in high performing teams
Solid working knowledge of workplace health and safety obligations
Developed business acumen with ability to manage budgets
Intermediate understanding of ‘whole of life cost', size of fleet, Fleet Production Cost (FPC) and application of equipment
Advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite, internet based applications)
Demonstrated high level Customer Service skills
Advanced communication skills - written, verbal and interpersonal
Demonstrated experience in analysing data, report writing and use of equipment performance metrics
Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously
Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities to achieve tight deadlines
High level of initiative and problem solving skills with the ability to follow through with required actions
Sound negotiation skills and ability to influence stakeholders
Sound understanding of mining equipment operating principles
Working knowledge and understanding of CAT ET
Working knowledge, understanding and report gathering of VIMS PC
Familiar with the use of technology products utilising high precision GPS to optimise efficiency
Demonstrated understanding of business finance and accounting processes

Desirable Criteria:

Caterpillar Command for Hauling Level 2
Continuous Improvement qualifications (such as Six Sigma, Lean etc.)
Failure Analysis 1 and 2
Experience in maintenance planning or engineering role (in mining industry)
Demonstrated understanding and application of reliability engineering tools, techniques and processes
Experience with and working knowledge of CAT MineStar
within a OEM Technology environment
Project Management certification (e.g. PRINCE2 or equivalent) and project management experience
