Job Details:
Residential: 7 days on, 3 days off, 7 nights on, 4 days off
11.5 hours per shift inclusive of a 30 minute unpaid meal break
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, this residential role will require the successful candidate to carry out repairs, maintenance and servicing on a range of Caterpillar Equipment. You will be required to;
Identify and recommend preventative maintenance on equipment
Manage work orders including the ordering of parts
Carry out Caterpillar product improvement plans and product support program
Maintain safe work practices and a safe work environment
Essential:
Auto Electrician Trade Certificate with a minimum of 2 - 3 years post trade experience
Previous mechanical experience working on Caterpillar products
High Risk Licence Forklift and Working at Heights
Unrestricted C Class Drivers Licence
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal)
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships
Intermediate computer literacy skills - MS Office, internet based applications
Highly developed attention to detail
Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously
Desirable:
Experience working on CAT Trucks 793F, 789B, 793B, 793C, 793D, Loaders 988G, Graders 24H
Knowledge of WesTrac systems and processes
Familiarity with service literature
Current Forklift Licence
Elevated Work Platform
Dogging & Basic Rigging
Working at Heights, Confined Spaces
