About the role:
As Technical Advisor - Electrical you will assist with the analysis of faults, failures and sub-optimal performance of electrical assets. Providing technical support to project delivery and electrical trades & operations across 3 operating districts, you will also liaise with and provide critical support to central Water Corporation Branches as required.
Responsibilities include managing and conducting audits, inspections, condition assessments and performance checks of electrical safety, instrumentation and related electrical assets throughout the region.
You will also be required to participate in and support asset failure analysis, risk assessments and the development and maintenance of Operational contingency plans.
To be successful in this role you must have a strong background in either electrical engineering or electrical trades in an operational environment with the ability to troubleshoot and identify appropriate solutions.
The ideal applicant will have previous experience providing operational support and the translation of standards, particularly around electrical safety standards in an operational context.
Mining or utility experience will be high regarded.
Key skills and experience
· Considerable experience in electrical installation, testing and commissioning with Electrical
Worker's Licence endorsed “Electricians Licence”
· C Class Drivers Licence
· Considerable experience in the operations and maintenance of water services or Utility infrastructure
· Working at Heights and Working in Confined Spaces.
· Asset system and data analysis skills with the ability to create technical reports
· Knowledge of Asset Management principles and processes
