Job Description: Full Time, Fixed Term -12 Months Exciting opportunity for a senior payroll specialist East Melbourne location close to CBD About Department SVHM operates an in-house payroll service responsible for providing services to a major metropolitan public hospital operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with staff including shift workers paid under multiple industrial agreements, processing two fortnightly pay runs paid in alternate weeks. About the You You are an experienced payroll expert who will help us to transform our organisation and people processes. You bring exceptional communication skills and a passion for excellence in customer service. About the Role You will be responsible for supporting the Payroll Services Leader in the delivery of a best practice internal payroll service to SVHM in accordance with the needs of the hospital and applicable industrial agreements, through efficient, timely and accurate processing of payroll information and variations, and providing guidance and assistance to other team members. Duties Contribute to the delivery of a high quality payroll service through the efficient, timely and accurate processing of payroll information and variations Provide guidance and assistance to other team members and maintain a strong customer focus within the Payroll Services team Respond to employee enquiries and provide authoritative advice to stakeholders on payroll administration matters Ensure compliance with statutory and organisational requirements through the implementation and application of robust processes and controls Contribute to process improvement and system enhancement initiatives in Payroll Services and to broader HR Systems & Payroll Services projects To be successful in this role you will bring: Extensive experience in a large payroll function in a complex environment Demonstrated commitment to customer service Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders Experience in identifying and implementing service improvements Benefits Salary packaging Employee Assistance Program Staff Health Centre Staff Car Park Your passionate enthusiasm and innovative ideas will be embraced in our team.
