As group tax manager, you will be responsible for the managing the tax compliance and tax accounting obligations of the group and providing advice on key business transactions. This position may suit someone operating at manager/senior manger level in practice looking for an excellent industry role which will fast track your career. Alternatively someone working in an industry role which isn't diverse or lacks a good team for support. A truly international tax role as your role will involve managing tax matters across international markets and as group tax manager you will gain exposure to key decision makers, senior stakeholders and international teams. About the position Responsibility for quarterly and year‐end tax provision reporting process including liaising with Group accounting team, Group auditors and external tax advisors where necessary. Responsibility for the budgeting and forecasting process for corporate income taxes together with the related cashflows. Ensuring compliance with tax filing and payment obligations across all jurisdictions and ensuring that the tax implications of relevant legislative changes are considered and addressed appropriately. Responsibility for the preparation of tax disclosure notes in the statutory accounts for relevant Group companies. Preparing and maintaining tax analyses and technical papers to support tax filing positions taken in the event of tax audit challenges. Assisting with information gathering in response to queries from various tax authorities. Supporting the rollout of an automated tax reporting tool, to involve liaising with all key stakeholders including external vendors and local country finance teams. Assisting the tax team and the wider business with various consultancy projects and ad-hoc advisory matters as needed. About the person Strong problem solving, organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritise responsibilities and complete work accurately and in a timely manner. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to professionally represent the Group Tax department. Self‐motivated with good project management skills. The role will be based in Dublin; however, some international travel may be required.
