Senior Claims Consultant

Well-established successful Scottish operation of expanding claims consultancy business seeks to appoint an additional senior consultant in Scotland. You will be based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh and handle a wide ranging portfolio of commercial losses in a claims preparation capacity. The portfolio will regularly comprise losses in excess of £1 million. You will be required to work throughout Scotland, and occasionally Northern Ireland, liaising with all areas of the broker parent company, and paying as much attention to the business development and client relationship issues as to the technical issues you will encounter on a day-to-day basis.

Candidates must essentially be A/FCILA qualified and have a proven track record of working with major losses in Scotland, although you do not necessarily need to be working in a dedicated major loss unit. You will have the facility to work from either home or the Glasgow office, but should have market knowledge of either Edinburgh or Glasgow. You should be a confident and outgoing individual who views customer service to be as important as technical responsibilities. Basic salary will be up to £70-80,000 plus a generous performance related bonus, car allowance, pension, private medical care and 25 days holiday.
