Description
The Accounting & Controls Manager is responsible for managing a team of five. The team support the wider production of quarterly and annual statutory reporting, which includes statutory accounts, group reporting, Solvency II reporting and tax submissions.
The team are also responsible for making sure that the company adheres to the FCA regulations for fund expenses. This includes stakeholder pension schemes and fund expense information disclosure.
The successful candidate will be managing a team of 5 people to own the month end reporting cycle. This involves the production and analysis of reports, reconciliations, plus responding to queries within tight deadlines.
Profile
The Accounting & Controls Manager requires the following skills and experience:
- Qualified Accountant or studying towards final examinations
- Solid experience working within an accounting environment, experience of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cycles.
- Familiar with the production of reports and reconciliations
- Good excel skills and be comfortable working with a team with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical skills
- Able to work efficiently and effectively without compromising on accuracy
- Understanding of financial markets and risks would be advantageous
Job Offer
Salary up to £38,000 depending on skills, experience and qualifications
