Customs Operations Assistant Manager,Tax

The Role & Key Responsibilities: 1) Provide leadership, strategic consultation and management on import and export issues in the parts business in JLRC. 2) Lead customs team to provide excellent service to internal and external customers in China. 3) Provide professional support to complex project from custom operation and compliance perspective. 4) Focus on implementing and maintaining customs compliance initiatives, leading the integration of import requirements into business processes and systems, by reviewing and optimizing existing process and systems, or creating / applying the necessary customs compliance procedures and policies and system changing. 5) Manage the company's parts import&export operations in China to ensure compliance with all applicable Customs laws and regulations. 6) Act as primary liaison to China Customs and other Government agencies concerning pending imports; ensure timely responses to inquiries and information requests by working closely with company compliance, legal, and when necessary, outside counsel. 7) Collaborate with global custom compliance and import &export team to drive the corporate's world-wide policies, procedure and automated compliance solutions in NSC, updating the NSC regulations/policies to UK central office timely. 8) Develop effective local import&export operations and good working business relationships with Customs and trade control agencies 9) Develop and optimize the process on custom operation, such as inbound and outbound, HS-code classification, custom handbook registration and so on, provide continues training as needed to ensure compliant Customs entries 10) Actively manage Customs brokers, including any necessary corrective actions to maintain compliant Customs entries and practices, Review and measure the performance of customs brokers to make sure the operation runs smoothly and efficiently. 11) Lead and drive import &export risk assessments and annual custom audit on bonded warehouse, manage any required corrective action plans to ensure compliance 12) Other works arranged by line manager
