Description

Purchase Ledger Officer

Key Duties include:

• Process weekly contractor downloads.
• Process contractor monthly payment.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve subsequent queries.
• Process credit notes in line with current procedure.
• Process cheque and BACS payments.
• Undertake payment proposal process for Purchase Ledger and cheques/BACS weekly.
• Manual input of Development/Regeneration invoices onto Open Accounts - In line with payment run deadlines.
• Review 'Returned Purchase Order' search and re-index as appropriate on a daily basis.
• Assist with payment run checking as required.
• Close the Purchase Ledger as appropriate.
• Check submitted purchase cards ready for processing.
• Run 'Review rejected' searched daily and re-index as appropriate, dealing with PO queries as applicable.
• Resolve purchase card statement errors, complete journals for purchases and process purchase reconciliations.
• Set up, amend and check supplier accounts.

Profile

Purchase Ledger Officer

The successful candidate will:

• Have proven experience of a computerised accounting system.
• Have proven experience of working with complex control accounts
• Experience of preparation of General Ledger input.
• A good understanding of control accounts and nominal ledger accounts.
• Excellent Excel, Access and word procesing skills.
• Good verbal and Written communication skills at all level.
