Tax Manager

Due to recent growth and restructure a new opportunity for a tax manager has arisen within a well known industry. Joining an established but growing tax team your role will be a diverse role looking after all tax matters for the Irish operation and supporting international tax projects. A very diverse role managing the tax matters across corporate tax, VAT, RCT compliance and advisory across the business. As tax manager you will also manage tax projects, liaise with group tax and assist the business with tax queries as the business grows. A strong team player is essential for this role and someone with the drive and initiative to run with matters but with support of head of tax and finance teams. Some responsibilities include: Responsible for the corporate tax compliance, VAT compliance and RCT compliance process with the support of the tax analyst on the team. Liaising with finance team, group and external advisors in this regard. Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate accounting of tax in quarterly group reporting and statutory reports. Manage tax audits and respond to queries from tax authorities. Co-ordinate and manage tax projects along with the Head of Tax. Assist the Head of Tax with group tax matters, including CbCR. Provide advice on all tax implications relating to potential transactions to aid decision making Prepare transfer pricing reviews and support Head of Tax ensuring all documents adhere to legislative requirements. Research international tax issues and keep up to date on legislation changes. About the person: Chartered Tax Advisor & Qualified Accountant Big 4 CT and/or VAT trained professional is essential Excellent tax technical skills and detailed knowledge of Irish system A self-starter with ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines. Requires strong organisational, leadership and project management skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels. Practical thinking is essential.
