Description

Support functions and business units in order to minimise P&L impact of IT and Security operational risk.

Responsible for providing the group-wide operational risk framework - ORCM - in order ensure that external stakeholder's expectations are met (regulator, shareholders, clients).

Key Deliverables:

Strategic - Implement framework to support "best in class" operation of ORCM.

Operational - delivery of risk insights to enable decision-making.

Risk Management / Governance - group-wide focus on operational risk exposure and effective first line management of risk and control.

  • Reporting and Insight produced leads to timely and effective decision-making by senior management.
  • Delivery of cross-market working practices to minimise cost and maximise use of available resources.

Identify key operational risk exposures and ensure appropriate visibility to senior management, up to and including the Group

Profile

  • Thorough understanding of effective operational risk management
  • Awareness of IT & Security governance models and standards
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - succinct, clear communicator and focused.
  • Excellent written communication skills - the ability to collate and summarise information in plain English is key.
  • Excellent influencing style with senior management as well as all levels within the business.
  • Creative and open to new ideas.
  • Hands-on approach
  • Experienced at managing risks across in financial services.
  • Experienced at working at a group level and in an international context.
