The role of Analyst will see you investigating numerous projects across the public sector, from researching and collating data to interrogating information to identify trends, and presenting your findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

Description
The role of Analyst requires strong critical thinking to assess performance and make business recommendations based on your findings.
The main responsibilities include:
- Undertaking research into a wide range of relevant public policy topics
- Gathering, analysing and interpreting data, using a range of quantitative and qualitative methods
- Interpreting and presenting findings clearly and succinctly and contributing to the drafting of reports
- Providing written and oral briefings to managers and senior staff
- Supervising the work of accountancy trainees or consultants as and when required and providing training and guidance in techniques to colleagues
- Gaining insight and knowledge of the client and developing and maintaining good relations with them and engaging with wider external analytical communities.
- For those in specialist roles, developing and deploying technical skills to support a range of outputs and capabilities.
Profile
Analysts come from a mix of background, we are looking for individuals with
- A strong academic background (2:1 or above in a substantial quantitative analytical discipline such as economic/statistics/research),
- Together with demonstrable analytical skills
- Ideally having working within public or private sector as an Analyst previously.
- Successful individuals have an intellectual curiosity and
- Strong communication skills, to work effectively in a team or autonomously
Job Offer
Pending interview, the successful Analyst will join a peer group to deliver across one of six different focus areas within the business. The role will be paid on an daily rate, based on demonstrable experience.
This is a quick moving process, with interviews aligned from week commencing 12th February. Early application is recommended.
