Purpose of Role: Provide Accounts Payable support to Jarden’s European Shared Service Center in Prague. The role includes processing of invoices, processing of payments, and handling of external and internal vendor correspondence.
Key Responsibilities
• Code and process invoices and match invoices to purchase orders
• Resolve all invoice/purchase order discrepancies
• Prepare payments to suppliers according to agreed schedule
• Review and approve travel expenses in accordance with legislation and internal policies
• Participate in special projects by supporting management and the project team in various tasks
• Engage in process improvement initiatives
• Actively participate in training programs
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule if required
Key Challenges
• Ability to deal with diverse levels of financial and operating personnel
• Ability to work independently, identify problems, and propose solutions
• Must be able to work under pressure during peak periods
• Ability to communicate well with internal and external parties
Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or similar field preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in a finance and accounting department
• Experience in shared service center environments preferred
• Strong accounting and analytical skills preferred
• Must be a strong team player, highly motivated, and eager to learn, “can do” attitude, detail oriented
• Strong technology skills, including PC and Web-based applications with a working knowledge/understanding of business finance system platforms (e.g., Excel, SAP or other ERP system etc.)
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English is required
• French at min B1 level is a must
