Project Financial Analyst - Controls - Plc

A leading PLC, that has gone through significant organisational change in recent years, has engaged Barden to identify a high calibre, practice trained accountant to take on a key project role in an expanding group function. ABOUT THE ROLE: 60% Internal controls, 20% Projects and 20% supporting financial consolidation and reporting, this role will suit someone from Big 4 or similar looking to progress their career in a world class company outside of practice. The right person in this seat is well placed to make a difference and to progress within the broader business over time" - Finance Project Director Duties will include the following but will be varied depending on the demands of the business: Internal Controls Assist with management of the Group SOX documentation relating to the financial statement close process Assist with management of the Group fraud risk assessment process; Functioning as a primary contact point for internal controls, the team works closely with colleagues based in head office and in the Divisional offices around the Group Support the provision of clear and concise guidance on internal controls to the head office teams; including training and testing Act as a contact point for internal controls queries during the financial statement close process; Year-end/Interim consolidations Work closely with the Financial Reporting team in the preparation of financial statement notes for the Group Annual Report; and Assist, as required, in the financial consolidation process and the preparation and proofing of the Annual Report. The role is cross-functional with significant internal and external exposure. The continued growth of the Group is anticipated to create opportunities for the right individual for progression both within Group Finance and in the wider Group. ABOUT THE PERSON: This role will suit an assistant manager/manager/senior manager/AD from Big 4 or similar looking to progress their career in a world class company outside of practice.
