Job Description

Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced accountant to help oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.

Senior accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month–end close procedures. A successful Senior accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Manages Banking Reconciliations and Transactions

?? Monitors and resolves bank issues including fee anomalies and check differences

?? Completes account/bank reconciliations

?? Reviews and processes Wells Fargo Bank weekly AR sales uploads and daily cash flow reporting

Completes GL Account Reconciliations

?? Complete balance sheet reconciliation

?? Prepares account analyses as requested

?? Assists with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures

Accounts Payable and T&E Processing

?? Pays vendors and processes T&E reimbursement

?? Analysis and validates changes in bills/vendor expenses

?? Provide strategic cost cutting feedback/input to the field on ways to lower expenses

Payroll Assistance

?? Completes payroll and billing analysis on a week basis

?? Researches and assists the billing/payroll team with issues

?? Processes payment for corporate staff

?? Reconciles benefits deductions to payments monthly

Provides regular and reliable financial reporting

?? Prepares reoccurring, monthly and more complex upload adjustments

?? Completes standard financial report every week

?? Assists with preparation and coordination of the audit process

?? Assists with tax computations and returns

?? Assists with year–end closing

Knowledge & Skills:

?? Experienced in excel functions

. 3–4 Years of experience in Accounting is a MUST

?? Prioritize effectively, multi–task and balance multiple projects

?? General Ledger experience required

?? Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, with the ability to provide clean specific and well documented procedures

?? Organized with strong attention to detail

?? Complex problem solving, with minimal to no direction

?? Creative, self–disciplined, and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency

?? Strong bank reconciliation skills

Education & Experience:

?? College Degree in Accounting

?? 3 years minimum, of previous accounting experience

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

?? Requires long periods of time seated in front of a computer

?? Will require 40 plus hours per week, including some evening and weekend hours in order to meet deadlines and solve unexpected problems.
