Working in the Corporate Reporting Review team at this independent regulator you will consider reviews of reports and accounts and recommend an appropriate regulatory response.

Client Details

This UK independent regulator is responsible for promoting high quality corporate governance and reporting to foster investment. They are the UK Competent Authority for audit and set the UK Corporate Governance and Stewardship Codes as well as UK standards for accounting, auditing and actuarial work. They monitor and take action to promote the quality of corporate reporting and operate independent enforcement arrangements for accountants and actuaries.

Description

Corporate Reporting Review is part of the Corporate Governance and Reporting division and monitors financial information provided by companies for compliance with relevant accounting requirements and enquiries into apparent departures through correspondence and face-to-face meetings with company Chairmen, directors and senior officers. The team considers reviews of reports and accounts and recommend an appropriate regulatory response.

The Role:

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Drafting letters and analysing responses from companies
  • Attending meetings with company representatives
  • Supporting FRRP Review Groups
  • Conducting ad-hoc project and research work

Profile

Candidates must be fully qualified members of ICAEW, ACCA, ICAS or CAI (or equivalents) and have detailed knowledge of IFRS as well as significant experience at Senior Manager level (or above) in a major firm or corporate.

The ideal candidates will have:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent research and analytic skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Job Offer

Salary up to £90,000, with generous benefits including discretionary annual bonus, 10% pension and 30 days annual leave.
