AMS Onsite at Vodafone Ireland is currently recruiting a Statutory Accountant for an initial 9 month contract based in Dublin South. We're officially a Great Place to Work! Role Purpose: Responsible for all Statutory, Compliance & Group related external financial reporting, ongoing taxation accounting and the preparation of VF IE's statutory accounts. Responsible for advising Finance management & the Business on financial reporting standards and ensuring VF IE are compliant with Group policy. Responsible for the review of Other Direct Costs on a monthly basis to ensure accurate reporting and analysis against Budget Essence of the role: Reporting accounting - Responsible for overall quality, timeliness and accuracy of monthly reporting submission to Group, ensuring all Group reporting requirements are addressed Responsible for ensuring monthly (to Group) and annual (statutory) reporting complied with all relevant accountant standards and regulations Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely completion of external audit (for both main company accounts and pension company accounts).  Main point of contact with external auditors. Accounting for all corporate level transactions (acquisitions, disposals etc) Advisory role for Finance Management Team (in particular, Financial Reporting team, Strategic Finance team, Financial Planning & Business Support team) in relation to accounting queries, the application of new accounting standards, and the exploration of accounting treatment for certain transactions.  Key point of contact on all accounting treatment questions; will involve business partnering (locally) & dealing directly with Group Reporting colleagues Responsible for ensuring SOX process documentation for areas of responsibility is relevant and current and that adequate control schedules are available for management review and audit purposes Amongst Other Day to Day activities. The Candidate: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with proven PQE. Financial Reporting experience - Excellent understanding of IFRS Strong technical Accountancy Skills - Previous experience in Audit preparation.
