Description

They Key Responsibilities for the Part Time Accountant role will be:

• To work alongside the Management Accounting team to produce month end reports and assist with financial reporting
• Month end duties such as accruals, budget analysis, variance analysis, posting of journals
• Taking responsibility for the budgeting and forecasting process and communicating budgets to internal stakeholders
• Act as a bridge between finance and other internal departments
• Maintaining a record of budgets vs actuals to ensure accuracy of financial records
• Liaising and business partnering with internal and external stakeholder as required to communicate financial data
• Advising on commercial opportunities through collating relevant reports
• Ensuring adherence to financial policies and compliance to procedures
• Working with the internal finance team to work on capital projects
• Assisting with continuous improvement of process and systems
• Liaising with stakeholders to deliver an efficient process and high levels of service
• Maintaining an accurate database of accounts to assist with internal and external auditing process
• Ad-hoc duties as required by Line Manager

Profile

The successful candidate for the Part Time Accountant role will have:

• Be Immediately Available
• Previous experience in a similar position
• Be part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or AAT qualified with experience
• Have previous experience particular in budgeting, accruals and other month end duties
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and deliver a high quality service
• Have strong excel experience, particularly in Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPS
• Be able to work independently and in a team as required
• Ability to prioritise and effectively meet deadlines
• Have a keen eye for detail
• Have a positive and friendly attitude
