An opportunity has arisen for a newly-qualified Group Accountant to join one of the largest Energy/Oil & Gas companies in the UK based in central London.

Client Details

My client is a house-hold name within the energy/oil & gas sector, they are listed on the LSE and based in central London.

Description

This Group Accountant role will be key in providing a financial accounting service to a specific business unit within the overall company. This includes assisting in the preparation of internally & externally reported financial information which is timely, accurate and complies with legal requirements, accounting standards and fiscal requirements.

Specifically:

  • Produce draft Statutory Accounts
  • Produce draft budget submissions and provide regular summary of actuals vs budget to Head of Financial Reporting
  • Post & review financial accounting transactions & controls for several holding, financing and legacy companies
  • Support the central finance team in re-financing, acquisition and disposal type projects

    • Profile

    The successful Group Accountant will have the following:

    • Professional finance qualification - ACA/ACCA/CIMA
    • Experience working on multi-currency consolidations - IFRS
    • Experience with the energy/oil and gas or harder industry sectors would be advantageous
    • Excellent communication skills
