We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Finance Manager.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist in the production of all GRCA Profit and Loss (P&L), on and off balance sheets, financial accounting information for HSBC UK
  • Assist with the adoption of new accounting requirements and ongoing reporting in line with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs)
  • Provide advice and guidance to the business, finance, and other areas of HSBC Bank plc as necessary on the appropriate accounting treatment and reporting requirements on complex issues
  • Support the Financial Reporting Manager with the review and financial control on the General ledger
  • Support the Financial Reporting Manager with the calculation, review and reporting of the necessary financial accounting information together with detailed business based commentary
  • Assist with and control the impact of the Sarbannes-Oxley act on all aspects of the work undertaken by both the actual and inter-company team

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Qualified accountant with solid financial reporting experience
  • Experience working in relevant environment/s
  • A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better
  • Set and achieved challenging short, medium and long term goals which exceeded the standards in their field

We are required by the Financial Services (Banking Reform) Act 2013 to create a ring-fenced bank in the UK by 1 January 2019. Entirely new from the ground up, HSBC UK's head office is opening in Birmingham. The location of this role will move to our new state of the art offices at 2 Arena Central during 2018.
