Our client is a leading Holding Group in Qatar. The Holding Group is composed of companies specialized in the following industries: Investments, Real Estate Development and services, Breeding livestock, agriculture and honey production, retail and wholesale, sourcing and importation of high-end brands in the FMCG and F&B sectors.
Main Objective:
Hold a great responsibility for providing financial leadership, advice and support to the group and adopt a lead role in developing, implementing, analyzing, maintaining and presenting strategic financial plans. The GFC will report directly to Group Finance Manager and will be a key player amongst the Senior Management Team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop systems and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of managing the company's finances and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Make recommendations on spending or cost cuts when necessary.
- Provide essential financial analysis in business transactions/acquisitions.
- Provide accurate, timely and relevant financial information and plans which assists the senior management team in meeting strategic goals.
- Ensure that financial functions have efficient systems and accounting measures that satisfy the requirements of the Group and external bodies.
- Make sure All Companies have a secure, trusted and professional financial function.
- Ensure that all areas of the business and all companies are aware of and aligned to the Group's cash and profit targets and requirements.
- Deliver effective procedures to develop a high standard of the following reporting requirements: Annual budget reports, Financial statements, cost analysis reports, profit or loss statements, Profit and cash forecasting, Monthly management accounts reporting, Annual Statutory accounts and Group consolidated accounts, Daily, weekly and monthly KPI data, Capital expenditure control, Product margin analysis and reporting.
- Work closely with Group Divisional Managers to insure an appropriate standard of financial controls on the Group and all Companies.
- Make sure all companies are adhering to the financial policies.
- Ensure that all departmental processing is accurate and timely.
- Oversees and monitors an effective control environment.
- Influence the management and take initiative to optimizing the financial processes and tools to improve quality and efficiency.
- Drive business performance innovation in the finance function to improve analysis and business development.
