Job Location: Accra, Greater Accra

 

Job Summary

• Responsible for analyzing expenses into individual cost centers, keeping and maintain technical and general goods stock levels, itemization of departmental cost and maintaining control for the various ledger balances

 

Job Description

• Match actual cost of production against standard cost to determine variances of all products
• Prepare monthly journal entries and adjustments with supporting documents and appropriate description
• Ensure that all expenses are apportioned accurately to the appropriate cost centers
• Value the cost of inventories, monitor and generate inventory report monthly
• Maintenance of property plant and equipment schedule
• Analyze and reconcile the general ledger with the main account
• Reconcile and update trade payables' and receivables' account monthly
• Valuation of work in progress on a monthly basis

 

Qualification and Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university
• At least 3-5 years experience working on general ledger schedule
• Knowledge of sage pastel accounting, Microsoft word and Excel are required
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and communicates in a professional manner
• Ability to work without supervision and as a member of a team
