We are currently accepting applications for our Returning Talent programme in Chester, United Kingdom.

The programme aims to help bridge the gap for people re-entering the workforce, such as stay-at-home parents, carers or those who took a career break to support a partner in the armed forces. We are looking to attract individuals from a range of backgrounds including finance, technology, banking operations to fill positions in our Chester-based Technology and Operations team. Roles include developers, programmers, business- and operations analysts, and project and operations managers.

Returning Talent in Chester consists of a two-day conference which will take place on 18th and 19th September 2017. As one of the programmes 25 selected participants, you will gain practical guidance on focusing and managing your career search, insights into balancing work and home life, and access to executive coaching. You will also attend speaker sessions involving past returners, and workshops designed to focus on the challenges of re-entering the workplace. At the end of the programme, you will feel better equipped and confident to re-enter the world of work.

Six years ago, Bank of America Merrill Lynch pioneered one of the first Returner programmes in the UK. Seven programmes later and to date almost 300 women and men have participated, with many going on to secure roles here or at other firms. Our progress in this area, as well as our ongoing commitment to develop female talent, enabled us to win the 2015 Workingmums.co.uk Top Employer Award for Career Progression.

Neeha Khurana, international talent executive at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, said: "The Returning Talent programme is a great example of the value and importance we place on identifying strong and diverse talent across our business. Through initiatives such as this, we are able to give people at all stages of their lives and careers, the support, confidence and skills to prosper, and the inspiration to succeed in the financial services marketplace. Following on from the success of last year's inaugural programme we are very excited about the talent we will find in 2017".

Lata Ravle, a 2016 Returning Talent participant who has since joined the company's Banking and Markets Operations team, said: "I found the programme to be incredibly motivating. After an eight year break from financial services it provided me with a great platform to meet a variety of people with different areas of expertise who were in the same boat as me. I am now working with a great team of people here at the bank, and I feel a sense of pride and achievement in what I've already accomplished. My advice to others is that it is never too late to progress your career. I definitely recommend the Returning Talent to people who perhaps need that little push to pursue their career goals and dreams."
