Financial Controller Construction Exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to join the Finance team of a multinational construction company, and one of the largest construction firms in Ireland with a significant number of projects ongoing at any given time.  Based in Head Office and reporting to the Group Financial Controller, role will involve: Preparation of accounts - Ensure the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports for operational management, and preparation of annual statutory Financial Providing financial information to the Board / Senior Management Budgeting and forecasting - preparation of budgets, forecasts and business plans and continued monitoring & review of performance enabling robust reporting of variances Working Capital Management - managing working capital components of the company with specific attention to funding, debtors and cash balances Overheads - management of overheads, seeking out areas for efficiencies for savings Internal Controls - ownership of the company internal control environment and assisting management in the risk assessment process, embedding a risk management culture Taxation- supporting the business in the development and execution of the Group's taxation strategy, liaising with Group's tax advisors when required Information technology - involvement in implementation of BI360 Bonding and Contract Support- active role in the management and procurement of bonds and bid support Leadership - managing, motivating, supervising & review performance of team Stakeholder Management - assist in managing relationships with auditors, tax advisers, bankers and other parties Ad-hoc projects will be ongoing Requirements for this Role Successful candidate will have the following attributes: Qualified Accountant with min. 5 years PQE, preference for construction experience. Strong technical accounting skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills The ability to prioritize individual workloads according to deadlines Ability to work as part of a team effectively and confidentially Strong IT/ systems skills About Our Client Our client is one of the top construction firms in Ireland, with a significant number of projects ongoing at any given time.
