Payroll Officer

This is a great upcoming opportunity with an innovative employer within retail distribution sector. With a pending maternity leave they are looking to find a superstar payroll officer with previous Chris21 experience to join the business. While initially a 12 month fixed term contract this role has real potential to go permanent.

Reporting to the Financial Controller as part of the broader finance team you will service a payroll of 500 and will take charge of a variety of tasks. These will include but not be limited to entering new starters onto the system, updating leave requests in the system and reconciling leave balances, processing fortnightly pays, managing month-end payroll journals and preparing yearly payment summaries. This role is all-encompassing and will manage the end-to-end payroll process for the organization.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience using Chris21 and be comfortable processing an end-to-end payroll. As this is an incredibly fast growing business in a unique and innovative sector there is real potential for anyone who applies themselves to stay on longer term. Ideally you will have a minimum 3-4 years experience in a payroll position and have worked to non-negotiable deadlines. You will enjoy working in a close-knit team and above all be able to commence on relatively short notice.
