Tax Advisor Government of Montserrat (GoM), Caribbean 2 Years FTC commencing 2017 The Government of Montserrat is seeking to recruit a Tax Advisor, in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Management.  The role of the Tax Advisor is aimed at boosting the economic capacity of the government and further strengthening the link between economic analysis and high-level policy decision-making. CANDIDATES QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE PROFILE The Candidate must be able to demonstrate the qualifications, skills and experience summarised below: At least ten (10) years' experience at management level of one, or more, in the following areas, tax assessment, collection and enforcement; Proven ability to advise on taxation policy and administration; Experience of forecasting and estimating revenue from taxation; The Tax Advisor should be well versed in International Tax matters to include Tax Information Exchange; Strong interpersonal skills developed in a political environment, including team-working, communicating and negotiating skills; Experience and expertise in the training of tax officials, and Experience of working on a similar sized Island would be desirable. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENGAGEMENT The terms and conditions applicable for this appointment include: A commencing appointment in 2017 for a period of two (2) years; and The total remuneration package for the post of Tax Advisor is EC$250,000.00 (taxable) per annum dependent on experience.
