Simpson Finance Jamaica Limited (SFJL) is an in-house financing company for motor vehicles and industrial equipment sold by The Stewart's Automotive Group of Companies. We are well experienced in the industry, providing financing across the Caribbean for over 20 years. SFJL is seeking to recruit a dynamic and results oriented individual to fill the position of: SENIOR ACCOUNTANT Key Responsibilities: Responsible for ensuring that the completeness, accuracy, timeliness and validity of all accounting transactions are recorded in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Responsible for preparing all GCT reports and bank reconciliations. Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures. Monitors the financial condition by conducting internal reviews and providing information to external auditors - coordinates all audit activity. Assists in preparation of budgets by establishing, collecting, analysing and consolidating financial data. Achieves budget objectives by analysing variances; initiating corrective actions. Analyses financial data and presents monthly financial reports in an accurate and timely manner to senior management and Directors. Complies with local legal requirements ensuring adherence to requirements and preparation of financial reports. Manages organisational cash flow forecasting, continuously collaborating with General Manager and Regional Financial Controller (RFC) to assess the financial requirements for the business. Prepares annual corporation tax returns. Prepares draft year-end Financial Statements for audit purposes. Prepares and reports various financial covenants. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field. Completed ACCA Level 2 or equivalent in another accounting designation. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel). Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial statements. Ability to perform business math (basic algebra, compute ratios, etc.). Competency in budgeting, forecasting and planning. Must have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills (written and oral). Excellent interpersonal skills.
